Child Rights and You (CRY)
Projects 2006:
Indian Middle Class’ Attitudes Towards Child Deprivation Study
Bandra Sunday School Teaching
Child Rights and You (CRY) is one of India’s most eminent NGOs focusing on the wellbeing of Children in India, particularly those living in destitution, through education, nutrition, post-child labour and post-child trafficking rehabilitation programmes.
Out of CRY’s headquarters in Mumbai, Kunal was involved in writing a confidential report on the Indian Middle Class’ attitudes towards child deprivation. To complement the findings, he formulated a qualitative and quantitative questionnaire survey to be answered by sample group of members (both adults and children) belonging to this demographic. In parallel, he also taught a Sunday class on English and rudimentary arithmetic mathematics to slum-residing children in a School in Mumbai, as part of an education programme managed by the CRY’s Volunteer Group in Bandra, Mumbai.
