CONDUCTING AN E-LECTURE ON PROJECT MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP FOR THE PENINSULA FOUNDATION
I had the privilege of recently delivering a e-lecture on Zoom specifically for young professionals, specifically from Government, Military Armed Forces, Academia and Private Sector in India titled, “Project Management & Leadership Lessons From India: Case Study – ICRC Enable Makeathon Competition”.
This was done for The Peninsula Foundation, a Chennai (India)-based policy research think tank that focuses on providing research and analysis on the political economy and security dimensions of India and its interaction in Global Affairs through the development of young scholars.
The crux of my e-lecture was to elucidate on the skills and experiences pertaining to project management and leadership that I gained in the Indian working environment when I was an Innovation Programme Officer for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) where I oversaw the ICRC Innovation Initiative for ICRC Regional Delegation for India, Bhutan & The Maldives. I specifically honed in on the case study of the ICRC Enable Makeathon Competition, the main undertaking which I project managed in 2015 and 2016 during my time at the ICRC.
The moderators of my e-lecture were:
Air Marshal M. Matheswaran AVSM VM PhD (Indian Air Force Retd.), Chairman & President of The Peninsula Foundation, along with;
Dr Sunod Jacob, Director and Senior Fellow of The Peninsula Foundation and a former colleague of mine at ICRC.
A special thank you to my former colleague at ICRC and dear friend, Dr Sunod Jacob, for inviting and thus granting me such a great opportunity to conduct this e-lecture to these aspiring young professionals whilst under the aegis of him and the esteemed Air Marshal M. Matheswaran.
